Injection administration at home is for patients who are either discharged from hospital and need to continue taking injections or alternatively for elders, bedridden, disabled and other persons who find it difficult to visit the hospital to receive prescribed injections. Our nurses are highly skilled, experienced and can administer intradermal (ID), subcutaneous (SC) and intramuscular (IM) injections at home.
Similar to injection administration, IV Infusions maybe required as an alternative to oral treatment especially to expedite the treatment or recovery process. When patients are prescribed IV medication or require IV fluid and electrolyte infusion at home, our skilled and licensed healthcare professionals are trained to give these intravenously in a sterile manner. During the infusion process, our Nurses continuously monitor the patient’s condition and are equipped to take necessary action in case of any drug reaction. Our Nurses are adept at inserting, feeding and taking out the tube and providing care while the tube is in place ensuring that the patient’s nutritional status is adequately managed.
A tracheostomy is a medical procedure to allow creation of an opening in the skin of the neck so that a tube can be inserted into the windpipe to allow passage of air into the lungs. Tracheostomy is usually done to bypass an obstructed upper airway, to clean and remove secretions from the airway or to deliver oxygen to the lungs. Having a trachea/stoma opening carries the risk of infection and other complications and it is important for the patient to be under continuous monitoring and care. A catheter is a tube that is inserted into the body to allow the fluids to be taken out and the most commonly done is the urinary catheterisation to allow for the urine to pass out of the body.
